In a direct appeal to platform owner Elon Musk on Friday, she claimed her updates were being “filtered” and prevented from reaching audiences inside Pakistan and abroad.

Goldsmith said that for 22 months, Khan has been kept in solitary confinement and denied basic rights, including visits from their two sons.

Describing him as a “political prisoner,” she argued that X is the only remaining outlet through which she can draw global attention to his situation. Yet, she alleged her posts have been “throttled to almost zero.”

“You promised free speech, not ‘speech but no one hears it’,” she wrote in her message to Musk.

Goldsmith has previously accused Pakistani authorities of blocking communication between Khan and their sons, and even threatening them with arrest should they attempt to enter Pakistan.

Her concerns were echoed this week by Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, who spoke outside Adiala Jail. She said the family has been trying unsuccessfully to meet him for eight months.

“They are torturing him. He has been kept in illegal isolation. They should end this torture against Imran Khan,” she said, describing the conditions as inhumane and alleging deliberate efforts to keep him cut off from family.

The family’s frustration comes amid persistent uncertainty over Khan’s health and repeated demands from supporters and relatives for proof of his condition.

Last year, a United Nations panel of experts condemned Khan’s detention as arbitrary and politically motivated, warning that Pakistan was violating international law by holding him in a manner that appeared intended to block his political participation.
