Kuwaiti couple divorces just three minutes after getting married
Kuwait perhaps recorded one of the shortest marriages in history when the couple divorced just three minutes after he got married.
The couple from Kuwait called it quits when the groom mocked his bride as they were pronounced husband and wife, who he allegedly called 'stupid' for tripping up, reported Independent Indy.
Deciding that such a comment was not accepted so early in their marriage, the woman asked the judge to dissolve their wedding.
The incident happened in 2019 but it resurfaced on the social media and went viral in recent times.
The incident specially grabbed headlines after Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, dropped a surprise on Instagram, when she publicly announced her 'divorce' from her husband Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
The announcement was made just over two months after the couple welcomed their child.
In a surprise Instagram post, Shaikha Mahra wrote: "Dear Husband. As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife."
