Pakistan: Pipeline supplying gas to Quetta blown up
Unknown armed people blew up a pipeline that supplied gas to Quetta region in Pakistan on Sunday.
The incident happened in Bolan region.
According to officials, “unknown people” planted explosives under the pipeline and detonated it with remote control, resulting in suspension of gas supply to a vast area,reported Dawn News.
“The miscreants used IED for blowing up the 12-inch pipeline,” a police officer told Dawn from Mach by phone.
A spokesperson for the Sui Southern Gas Company confirmed the blast, saying that gas supply was suspended to various areas of the province, including Quetta, for “a brief period”.
