'Pakistan sent repackaged Turkish flood aid as earthquake relief material,' journalist reveals
New Delhi/IBNS: Pakistan is facing a major embarrassment globally over the relief material it sent to Turkey after the recent devastating earthquakes that left over 40,000 people dead.
According to reports, Pakistan had sent the same relief material it had received from Turkey following last year's devastating floods.
The news came to the fore after Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Turkey and assured of all help.
The revelation was made by Pakistani journalist Shahid Masood on a live television discussion.
"The materials reached Turkey from Sindh. They even carried the tags 'Govt of Sindh' and 'Govt of Pakistan.' On being opened, it emerged that they were the same packets that Turkey had sent as a token of love after the floods," Masood is heard saying.
"The same had been repackaged and sent as relief," he added.
The revelation left the woman news anchor in conversation stunned too.
She is later seen breaking the silence, saying "This is so shameful."
