Protesters demonstrate in Shorkot over unscheduled power load-shedding
The residents of Shorkot recently demonstrated unscheduled power load-shedding in the region.
They set on fire old tyres and blocked the main Indus Highway to traffic coming from Peshawar and other areas to Dera Ismail Khan and Sindh, reported Dawn News.
A large number of women participated in the event.
The protesters chanted slogans against Pesco authorities for subjecting them to prolonged power outages in the hot weather, Dawn News reported.
They asked the government to ensure the duration of loadshedding is reduced.
They warned of more protests if the duration is not reduced.
