Shock in Toronto: Drunk man attacks Indian-origin customer inside McDonald over ‘arrogance’ claim
Amid growing concern over rising racism and xenophobia against immigrants in Canada, a disturbing video has surfaced online showing a white man assaulting an Indian man inside a McDonald’s outlet in Toronto, media reports said.
The mobile phone footage, now going viral across social media platforms, shows the alleged assailant, a visibly intoxicated man wearing a Toronto Blue Jays jacket, launching an unprovoked attack near the restaurant’s Mobile Order Pick-Up counter.

The video begins with the aggressor shoving the Indian man, sending his phone flying.
When the victim bends down to pick it up, the man charges toward him again, grabs him by the collar, and pushes him back while accusing him of “acting superior.”
Despite being physically attacked, the Indian man remains calm and does not retaliate.
The confrontation ends only after another individual, possibly a McDonald’s staff member, intervenes and instructs the men to take the matter outside.
The intoxicated assailant continues yelling at the victim before being escorted out.
As of now, Toronto Police have not released a statement or identified the individuals involved. The incident reportedly occurred on November 1.
This comes just days after another shocking attack in Canada, the fatal assault of 55-year-old Indo-Canadian businessman Arvi Singh Sagoo in Edmonton.
Sagoo was attacked on October 19 after confronting a stranger urinating on his vehicle. He was punched in the head, fell unconscious, and succumbed to his injuries five days later, on October 24.
The two incidents have intensified discussions about growing racial hostility and the safety of immigrants in Canadian cities.
