Following this, the airline assured him of a better experience.
"Sir, your feedback is paramount to us. We're continually upgrading our services and from tomorrow this sector will be catered to by our partners Taj Sats and Ambassador. Trust you will have a better experience with the food onboard going forward!," Air India tweeted.
Sanjeev Kapoor later responded to the airline and said, “Appreciate your response. I mean well & sincerely hope there is a thorough audit of services so that flyers consistently get a great experience. I will continue to support all sincere efforts”.

He added, “Today's flight; service by crew and on-time performance deserves a Thumbs Up”.
After Kapoor posted his complaint on Twitter, several other travellers vented their anger in the comment section.
A Twitterati said: " I got served cold sandwiches on bangalore mumbai flight today that was not even served in a plate, n best part after landing flight was held for 20mins as no ground bus to carry passengers to terminals @airindiain what an experience."
Another wrote: "Was travelling from London recently ! Pathetic service I have ever come across ! Boring travel; Entertainment screens just for name. Not working at all; Irresponsibly handled my luggages. Broke my suitcase and mishandled all of them !"
