Assam Rifles conducts mental health awareness for students of Dima Hasao district
Assam Rifles received multiple requests from local schools of Dima Hasao district following the positive feedback of vernacular media highlighting Assam Rifles role in facilitating education to young students.
In view of these requests, a two-day Mega Workshop on Mental Health, Career Counseling and Scientific Equipment Workshop was conducted at DC Office Auditorium, Haflong on November 8th and 9th, 2024. Mental Health where Career Coaches were invited from various parts of India in coordination with Dima Hasao Autonomous Council and various NGOs (Mind Domain, Thought to Action, ANA and Mindora Foundation) for providing students with expert advice and one-to-one interaction.
A total of 700 young students benefited through this endeavour. In addition, around 100 Foldoscopes were distributed to these students for improving educational standards and broadening thinking horizons among the students from remote communities of Dima Hasao.
