Assam Rifles organizes NCC mini camp at Haflong, Assam
The 33 Assam Battalion NCC successfully conducted a mini camp at Haflong from 29 Jan 26 to 02 Feb 26 with the active support of Assam Rifles.
The camp was conducted to develop leadership qualities, discipline, physical endurance, social responsibility and patriotic values among NCC cadets.
NCC cadets participated enthusiastically in a wide range of training, adventure.and social service activities.
A trekking expedition was conducted in the challenging terrain around Haflong, testing the physical stamina of cadets. The cadets participated in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, reinforcing the values of cleanliness, civic sense and community service.
The camp also provided a platform for cultural activities where cadets showcased their talents and hobbies.
Medical check-ups and awareness lectures were conducted by Assam Rifles personnel and volunteers of AROH society, renowned NGO of Haflong sensitising cadets on health, hygiene and well-being.
In addition, Assam Rifles officers delivered an insightful presentation on Op Sindoor, giving cadets a first-hand understanding of operational challenges, counter-insurgency dynamics and the professionalism of the force in safeguarding national security.
NCC is the largest uniformed youth organization of the country and a vital pillar in nation building by shaping character, fostering leadership, promoting national integration and preparing youth for future challenges.
