IG Assam Rifles reviews security situation in Dima Hasao; troops praised for exemplary performance
Haflong: Major General I.S. Bhinder, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East), visited the Haflong Battalion from March 17 to 18 to conduct a comprehensive review of the internal security landscape in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
During the visit, the Inspector General was briefed by the Commandant on the prevailing security situation in the region. He carried out a detailed assessment of operational preparedness and commended the troops for their outstanding performance, exceptional professionalism, and unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and stability.
Major General Bhinder also interacted with officers and personnel, an engagement that proved highly motivating and significantly boosted morale. He encouraged all ranks to continue discharging their duties with renewed dedication and zeal.
As part of his visit, the IG held discussions with local NGOs and key stakeholders in Dima Hasao, focusing on the district’s internal security dynamics. The interaction highlighted the importance of close coordination between security forces and civil society to ensure lasting peace in the region.
The visit reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ steadfast commitment to safeguarding the region while strengthening its relationship with the local population.
