Northeast Frontier Railway observes 70th Mahaparinirwan Divas of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar
Guwahati: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) solemnly observed the 70th Mahaparinirwan Divas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on 8th December 2025. The commemoration took place at the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha at NFR Headquarters, Maligaon, where officers and staff gathered to pay homage to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. The Additional General Manager of NFR was also present on the occasion and offered floral tributes.
A parallel programme was organised by the NFR Construction Organisation at the Concourse Hall of the newly constructed General Manager (Construction) Office Building in Maligaon. The ceremony included floral tributes, readings on the life and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar and reflections on his lifelong commitment to social justice and equality.
Speakers highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy as a jurist, economist, social reformer and champion of marginalized communities. They emphasized the continued relevance of his ideals for building an inclusive and progressive nation.
Northeast Frontier Railway reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the values and principles advocated by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, encouraging all employees to draw inspiration from his remarkable life and visionary leadership.
