12 Bangla nationals with children arrested from Agartala railway station
The Agartala railway station, which is a top hotspot travelling destination for human trafficking, specially for Rohingyas and Bangladesh nationals, who were illegally entered into Indian territory and moves towards other parts of the country through different passengers trains, but many time, the alert security forces have also managed to detain them.
In its latest edition, the alert Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and intelligence wing of BSF, based on the information, has managed to detain 12 Bangladesh nationals including two children along with two agents or touts.
Giving details of the operation, Officer-in-charge (OC) of GRP, Agartala station, Tapas Das said that based on the information and suspected movements of a group of people, security forces jointly detain them, who are moving inside the Agartala railway station to get a train.
He said during interrogation and verification of personal belongings recovered under their possession, police learnt to know that among the detained persons, four male and six female along with two children were Bangladesh nationals, who were entered into Indian territory without any valid documents and two other arrested male persons are Indian nationals, identified as Suraj Sahu of Gujarat and Rabihul Sheikh of Asansol district of West Bengal, who acted at agents.
OC said that arrested Bangla national were also revealed that they will go for Gujarat for works with the help of two arrested Indian touts
While, police registered a specific case under Passport Act and will forwarded them before a local court for further legal proceedings.
