A group of top PCC leaders resigned Congress, declare war against present leadership
At a time former Tripura Pradesh Congress president and veteran advocate Pijush Kantis Biswas returned back to his old party during a joining programme held AICC office in New Delhi, here in Agartala a large section of PCC leaders known as loyalist of MLA Birajit Sinha deserted their camp and are now ready to join BJP.
As announced, a section of Pradesh Congress leaders led by Jaydul Hossain, Chairman of Tripura Pradesh Congress Minority Dept and vice-chairman of SC wing of Pradesh Congress, Ratan Das along with a dozen of Congress leaders during a press conference at Agartala press club resigned from the grand old party out bursting their sentiments against present PCC president Ashish Kumar Saha and MLA Sudip Roy Barman.
Interestingly, all the Congress leaders, who were resigned on Tuesday to ready their platform to join BJP including the Youth Congress president Kailashahar, the home constituency of MLA Birajit Sinha are all trusted loyalist of Birajit Sinha, who has sidelined after Sudip Roy Barman faction take over the charges of Pradesh Congress.
While, addressing the press conference Jaydul Hossain and Ratan Das out bursting their sentiments against incumbent leadership of PCC alleged that present leadership, who are popularly known turn coater from one party to another party has destroyed the ideology and sentiments of thousands of Congress workers for their financial interest and sold the party to their erstwhile main opposition CPI (M).
They also claimed that they started their political history from student and youth politics to discharging duties in various assignments of Pradesh Congress committee to establish the party has sacrificed and lost against their decade’s old oppression and violent politics of Communist. But, the present leadership led by Ashish Kumar Saha and Sudip Roy Barman due to personal gain has misled the people of the state and fake assurances shared the platform with CPI(M), which they cannot accept.
Over the question of their next course of action, boy Jaydul Hussain and Ratna Das said that they will continue their political struggle against such persons, who betrayed the people of the state and will soon join another national party. They also said they will move district to district and expose the present leadership of Pradesh Congress and will highlight their destructive politics.
