Adl SP (Gomati) closed after wife filed FIR for domestic violence
The wife of the Additional SP of Gomati district filed an FIR at West Agartala Women police station with a complaint of domestic violence and atrocities by her husband.
Sources said that suffering from long domestic violence and atrocities committed by Additional SP(Gomati) Uttam Banik, his wife on Monday afternoon filed an FIR against her husband demanding justice.
Police headquarters sources said that based on preliminary investigation, the SP of the Gomati district has closed accused Uttam Banik closed to the police headquarters on Monday night and transferred Additional SP Suman Majumder on his charge with immediate effect.
