Tripura’s renowned spices industry, Annada Spices Industry under the brand name of “Longtharai” organized a cooking competition named “Longtharai Grihini Samman-2022” in October 2022 to honor the housewives of the state.
It was announced that 10 winners of the competition will be given the opportunity to travel to Digha including Mandarmani for 2 nights and 3 days. In view of that, many housewives from the state and outside the state participated in this competition and cooked their favorite menu with Longtharai powder spices and sent the entire cooking process to Longtharai powder spices official WhatsApp number.
While, on Thursday addressing a press conference at Agartala press club, owner of the Annada Spices, Ratan Debnath said that after uploading these videos on their official Facebook page, they decided to award “Longtharai Grihini Samman 2022” to 10 winning housewives based on maximum likes, shares and views in the social media platform.
He said that out of these 10 women, six are from Tripura state namely Suprabha Biswas, Sujata Sen Roy, Papiya Saha, Mita Chakraborty, Shilpi Das, Pinky Paul and four other women are from outside of the state including Ishita Mandal, Ranjana Das, Sadhana Das and Shaswati Sarkar.
As "Longtharai Grihini Samman-2022" they are going to start their trip to Digha including Mandarmani for 3 nights and 4 days from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport at Agartala from November 24, said Ratan Debnath and added during the said trip, they will arrange to staying and fooding in a 4-star hotel in New Digha.
In order to make this trip more interesting, different kinds of sports competitions, cultural competitions have been organized among themselves and also arrangements have been made to felicitate these 10 housewives through a special programme. Apart from the 10 winning housewives, a great enthusiasm has also been seen among the housewives from all parts of the state and outside the state through this programme, said Debnath.
During the press meet, general manager (GM) of the industry, Subrata Debnath and other prominent officials of the organization were present.
