Assam Rifles apprehend two drug smugglers with Ganja worth of Rs. 1 cr
Assam Rifles Battalion in a joint operation with Ambassa police station apprehended two drug smugglers along with Marijuana (Ganja) on Friday.
Assam Rifles (AR) sources said that based on credible information of drugs move, a joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles with police representatives from Ambassa police station seizing one heavy vehicle and apprehended two smugglers along with 257 kilograms of dry Ganja worth approximately Rs 1 crore from general area Ambassa under Dhalai district.
The apprehended smugglers along with seized Ganja were handed over to Ambassa police station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
Assam Rifles added that they have demonstrated its commitment towards drug free society.
