Assam Rifles huge quantities of Heroin, detain a smuggler
Assam Rifles under HQ IGAR (E) in a joint operation with Dholai police station (Assam) apprehended one individual along with grade-I heroin on Wednesday.
Based on credible information of Drugs sale, a joint Operation was launched by Assam Rifles with police representatives from Dholai police station and apprehended one smuggler along with 254.30 gm of Grade -I Heroin worth approximately Rs 1 crore from general area Kabuganj under Dholai PS, Cachar district of Assam.
The apprehended smuggler along with seized contents were handed over to Dholai police station for further investigation and legal proceedings. Assam Rifles have demonstrated its commitment towards drug free society.
