Biplab Deb gets rousing welcome in Agartala; urges people vote for BJP
Former Tripura Chief Minister and incumbent Rajya Sabha member, Biplab Kumar Deb was given a rousing welcome after he reached Agartala airport (MBB Airport) on Tuesday afternoon, who has been nominated as Lok Sabha candidate for West Tripura parliamentary constituency.
After a big rally, Deb along with senior BJP leaders reached at party headquarters, where Deb along with BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee addressed a press conference seeking the blessing of the people of Tripura to strengthen the hands of Narendra Modi to make him Prime Minister of the country for the third time.
Deb thanked the thronging crowd and the overwhelming response he got from the people as thousands of fans, supporters or followers gathered at the MBB Airport on Tuesday.
Deb recalled his preliminary struggling days in the party during the year 2015 and how the people of the state voted them to power in 2018 by unseating the 35 years old Communist rule.
He said that overwhelmed by the love and affection received from the masses and the support and love that established the BJP government in Tripura and people created history in the year 2018.
Deb urged the people of Tripura to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to continue the development. The party under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed the state in these few years and the support of people is his strength and under the guidance of the party leadership he will reach out to the people and work for the overall welfare of the state, said Deb.
He also expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and other senior party leaders for choosing him for Lok Sabha polls.
State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, party spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty, party's general secretary Amit Rakshit among others leaders were also present in the press conference.
