Biplab’s campaign in Gomati district: Large number of opposition supporters joined BJP
The ruling BJP candidate for West Tripura parliamentary seat and former Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb in his day-long hectic campaigns in Gomati district has attended organizational meetings and visited houses of some prominent citizens of the district.
While, addressing ‘Prista Pramukh’ conferences at Kakrabon-Shalgarah assembly constituency in presence party leaders and MLAs of the district, Deb urges all party workers to reached every houses of the district irrespective political colours and should aware the people about different schemes of both state and central governments and should give them facilities to get such schemes.
During the organizational meeting of the Gomati district, 126 supporters of different opposition parties from 42 families joined BJP in presence of Deb and in the ‘Prista Pramukh’ conference held at Kakrabon, 232 more voters from 56 families have also joined BJP. Biplab Kumar Deb and other party leaders welcomed all the new supporters of BJP.
He also joined “Jana Sampark Abhijan” (public outreach campaign) at Matabari area of Udaipur and has also interacted with local people.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Deb said that the BJP has sought opinions and suggestions from people before preparing its manifesto for the Parliamentary elections and these suggestions are not for personal benefits like postings, transfer requests, or consideration of applications. These are about building a strong country. PM Modi and BJP President JP Nadda are asking for suggestions from the masses. The BJP alone can practice democracy in this way.
The former Chief Minister also appealed to leaders and supporters of the opposition CPI(M), Congress, and other political parties to give their suggestions on 'what to do' and 'what not to do' while leading the country ahead.
He said their party would fight the polls on ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ and strive to win in both the seats in Tripura. He also cited the different welfare schemes like the Chief Minister's Jan Arogya Yojana, social security pension, etc., and the different Centrally-sponsored schemes are now reaching every door of the state.
Earlier, on Friday, the ruling BJP launched its poll campaign vehicles named 'Modi ki Guarantee' and 'Viksit Bharat - Modi ki Guarantee' in Agartala with suggestion boxes, urging people to come forward and provide their opinions on how India should progress.
Four campaign vehicles were flagged off by former Chief Minister and BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Biplab Kumar Deb and state BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee.
