Giving details, SDPO(NCC) Paramita Pandey said that based on secret information, the police personnel of NCC Police station raided the house one Ratan Debnath (41) at East Barjala area near Ginger Hotel on Friday evening. During the raid, police recovered 170 grams of Brown Sugar, worth Rs. 40 lakh hidden in a box bed of the house and a cash amount of Rs. 23,210 under his possession.

She said that police arrested drug peddler Ratan Debnath and a specific case under sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS act) has been registered and started investigation to find out the racket of drug smugglers.
