CM distributes over 1500 clothes on the occasion of Durga Puja
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday said that the primary goal of the present state government, led by the BJP, is to progress alongside the people focusing on improving the socio-economic conditions of the state's residents.
Dr Saha said this while participating in a program for the distribution of over 1500 clothes to economically weaker sections in wards 16, 20, 32, and 34 under the 8-Town Bardowali Assembly Constituency on Tuesday.
In view of Sharadotsav, the Chief Minister has continued this social program in his constituency area. Like last year, he is participating in the clothes distribution program with the aim of bringing smiles to the faces of the less fortunate during the puja celebrations. Additionally, as the MLA of the area, he is also fostering public relations with the local people.
During Today's cloth distribution program, the Chief Minister highlighted that under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is also dedicated to the idea of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Viswas."
"Comprehensive development is not possible without this guiding principle. Previously, the North Eastern states faced various forms of deprivation. However, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Act East Policy, the region has been advancing rapidly. He introduced the 'HIRA model' to Tripura. As a result of the 'HIRA model,' six national highways have been constructed in the state. Four more national highways are slated for construction," he remarked.
Dr Saha further emphasized that numerous people-centric projects of both the Central Government and the State Government are being implemented for the overall well-being of the state's residents.
"Since the BJP-led government took office in the state, social allowances have doubled. The current government has accorded special priority to the development of medical services. Significant efforts have been made to enhance infrastructure in district hospitals, thereby alleviating the patient load on state hospitals," Dr Saha added.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder and Municipal Corporator Ratna Dutta were present at this social program.
