CM extends greetings on Intl Indigenous Day
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha extended greetings to the indigenous communities on the occasion of International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.
On this day, the members of Maharani Tulsibati Welfare Trust paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at the Secretariat and exchanged greetings.
They presented a traditional Risa, a symbol of cultural heritage, along with a traditional Risa to the Chief Minister.
On Facebook, Dr Saha wrote, “Greetings to all Janajati brothers & sisters on the occasion of International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples. On this special day, the members of Maharani Tulsibati Welfare Trust paid a courtesy visit to Secretariat & presented me a traditional Risa along with beautiful attire”.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the government's commitment to safeguarding the rights, traditions, and aspirations of indigenous people of the state, aiming for their holistic development.
