CM met Union Health Minister through VC on prevention of insect-borne diseases
Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday held a high-level meeting through video conferencing with the Chief Ministers and Health Ministers of different states of the country to review the preparedness of States and Union Territories for the prevention and control of insect-borne diseases during the monsoon season.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha was present in the meeting. In the meeting, Joint Secretary of Union Health and Family Welfare Department Rajib Majhi presented detailed information on the comparative position of states in the prevention and control of insect-borne diseases- malaria, dengue, chikungunya, black fever, Japanese encephalitis. In this meeting, the Chief Ministers and Health Ministers of different states discussed in detail the progress in health infrastructure, including the preparedness of their respective states to prevent insect-borne diseases, including all precautionary measures in the sector of public health. Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Dr. Debashis Basu, Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Mission Director of National Health Mission State Branch Subhashis Das, State Programme Officer of National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme Dr. Abhijit Das and others were also present in the meeting.
