CM solves grievances of aid-seekers at 64th episode of Mukhyamantri Samipeshu
Defying the rain, citizens seeking assistance gathered at the official residence of Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday to share their grievances. This marked the 64th session of the "Mukhyamantri Samipeshu" programme. After listening to the accounts of those in need, the Chief Minister took immediate steps to resolve their issues.
During the interaction, he emphasized that the state government is working with transparency and following all official regulations for the welfare of the people, stating that public well-being remains a top priority.
Dr Saha interacted directly with people, carefully hearing their grievances and instructing concerned officials to take necessary action. He emphasized that the state government is working with sincerity and responsibility to resolve the problems faced by the public.
Among the cases highlighted was that of a resident of Agartala’s Aralia, Chinu Das and mother of the late Surajit Das (who died in an accident), met the CM regarding her family’s financial distress. The CM handed over a cheque of Rs 4 lakh from the Natural Disaster Management Fund to support her family.
In another case, a patient suffering from kidney-related ailments requested help for treatment. Dr. Saha assured that necessary arrangements would be made for proper medical care. He also directed the concerned departments to extend all possible assistance to those in need.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government remains committed to ensuring healthcare support and financial aid for the underprivileged. He stressed that public welfare remains the top priority of the administration.
Several individuals sought help for urgent medical treatments, including Ayatollah Sarkar from Radhakishorepur of Gomati district, Biswajit Debnath from Sabroom, Archana Sarkar from Udaipur (for her husband’s treatment), Samir Rudra Paul from Melaghar (for his father’s treatment) and Manjurani Sarkar from Agartala.
Other applicants, including Moumita Shil, Rana Tanti, Pritam Paul, and Rina Goswami, also discussed their medical and personal challenges. The Chief Minister directed officials from the respective departments to take immediate action to facilitate their treatment and support.
Senior officials from various departments, including health and social welfare including Finance Secretary Apurba Roy, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Special Secretary of Social Welfare and Social Education department, Tapan Kumar Das, Director of Health Services, Dr. Debasree Debbarma, Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate (DM) Maniklal Das and Superintendents from GBP, IGM, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cancer Hospital were also present during the programme to facilitate quick resolution of grievances.
