CM urges people don’t believe negative campaigns of oppositions, inaugurates 1000 MT paddy godown
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in his visit to some tribal dominated areas Chailengta and Manughat areas of Dhalai district on Tuesday assured the people that the government committed to implement all developmental projects for the welfare of the state's people.
Addressing in two meetings on ‘Janashirbad Rally’ in presence of large number of crowd, Chief Minister urged the people not be misguided by fake and malicious campaign . The welfare projects taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are bringing smile to every people and benifited their families.
Tribal welfare Minister Rampada Jamatia, BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Sambhu Lal Chakma, General Secretary of BJP Tinku Roy also were present in the meetings. One of the dissident MLA of BJP Dibachandra Hrangkhawal was also present in the meeting.
Minister Rampada Jamatia, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Sambhu Lal Chakma, Diba Chandra Hrangkhawal also addressed the meeting and criticized the opposition political parties CPI(M), Congress and TIPRA Motha for negative campaign against the state government, who are spreading only misinformation against government for their poll politics and urged people to avoid their mis-campaign.
During the meeting over 150 families and supporters of different political parties also joined BJP. The Chief Minister welcomed them by handing over the party flag.
In another programme, Chief Minister inaugurated a Paddy Godown of 1000 MT capacity in Kumarghat area , which is an important factor of economic development of the state.
Dr Saha said that agriculture is an important factor of economic development of the state. That is why the government is working towards improving the socio-economic condition of the farmers. The government has taken different plans for farmers’ welfare. The government continues its efforts to double farmers’ income. Earlier a farmer would earn only Rs. 6,580 rupees which has now increased to Rs.11,096, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha after inaugurating a Paddy Godown of 1000 MT capacity in Betchara of Kumarghat sub-division.
The godown was built at the cost of Rs. 1 crore 25 lakh. He said the state government is working to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogan of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’. The government is committed towards delivering the benefits of all government schemes till the last person of the society. Farmers of two blocks of Kumarghat sub-division will be benefitted by the newly built godown. The godown was farmes’ long awaited demand. He said, the scented lemons, pineapples, tamarind produced in the state by the farmers are being exported abroad. Paddy is being procured on subsidy by the government from the farmers every year. Different kinds of assistants are being provided to people through the ‘Prati Ghare Sushason’ campaign. The program has been extended and will continue till December 25. The government is working for overall development of the state keeping the people by side.
Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said, the state now has a central godown in every district. Initiative has been taken to set up a godown in every agriculture subdivision. Godowns will be inaugurated in more 7 to 8 agriculture sub-divisions within a few days. Labour Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das said, the government is working towards development as well as generating employment opportunities. If the farmers prosper, the villages will prosper. The programme was presided over by Vice Chairman of Kumarghat Panchayat Samiti Debabrata Dutta. During the godown inauguration programme Unakoti DM Dr. Vishal Kumar, District SP Kanta Jangir and TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy were also present.
