CM visits houses of bereaved families of drowned teenagers, provides financial helps
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha visited the house of two teenagers who drowned in a pond in the Murabari area under Bishalgarh, conveying his condolences.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by administration officials, paid a visit to the residence of the deceased, Dibakar Das and Saikat Debnath. He also provided financial assistance to the family members of the deceased, following government regulations.
This tragic incident occurred on September 6 during the Mansha Puja celebration in the Murabari area of Bishalgarh. The two brothers met with an unfortunate accident while taking bath in a pond. They were later rescued and referred to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, where the attending doctor pronounced them deceased. The families of the deceased were deeply saddened by this incident.
During his visit, Dr. Saha assured them of full support from the state government. Additionally, in accordance with government regulations, financial assistance was provided to the family members.
“This is an extremely sorrowful and shocking incident. Dibakar Das and Saikat Debnath tragically lost their lives while bathing during the immersion of Manasha Puja. There are no words to express the depth of our grief over this incident. May God grant peace to both of their souls. The government will stand with these families,” he said.
District Magistrate of Sepahijala district, Dr. Vishal Kumar, and officials from the administration were also present.
