Congress to start “Bharat Jodo - Tripura Bacho Yatra” on Nov 19
As part of the nationwide programme, Tripura Pradesh Congress will also observe the “Bharat Jodo - Tripura Bacho Yatra” in all 60 assembly constituencies of the state with an objective to ensure that the concerns and demands of the people reach Delhi.

Addressing a press conference here at Congress Bhavan on Monday afternoon PCC president Birajit Sinha said that on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the PCC will kick off the campaign simultaneously in 60 assembly segments of the state to highlight the misrule of the state government.
Sinha said that Congress MLA and former minister Sudip Roy Barman has been appointed as chairman of the campaign by AICC and PCC will have 16 sectors with 16 team leaders to organize the Yatra on the same day.
He said that on November 19 morning AICC general secretary and senior leader Joyram Ramesh will inaugurate the ‘Yatra’ in Agartala and state’s Congress in-charge Dr Ajoy Kumar will inaugurates the ‘Yatra’ in Dharmanagar and Kailasahar on the same days. Sinha added that few senior leaders and AICC secretaries will arrive in the state to participate in the campaign.
The Congress workers and all leaders will expedite their movements against ‘misrule’ of the BJP-IPFT government with the inauguration of “Bharat Jodo - Tripura Bacho Yatra” on November 19 and will strengthen its movements against oppression politics of BJP to oust the autocratic government in next assembly elections, said Sinha.
"Bharat Jodo Yatra, in no way in any form, is a Mann Ki Baat. It is about the concern for people. Its objective is to ensure that the concerns and demands expressed by the people reach Delhi," he said in a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio broadcast.
also appealed to the people of the state to participate in the ‘Yatra’ to strengthen the Congress’s movements against the present state government.
