Constitution Day to be observed through various programmes across Tripura
Constitution Day will be observed on 26th November (Tuesday) in Tripura along with the rest of the country in befitting manner through various programmes.
To mark the day, Preamble of the Constitution will be read out in schools, colleges and government offices at 11 am. As part of the observance on Tuesday, a special Padayatra will start from Umakanta Academy at 7 am which will conclude with the reading of the Preamble near the statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar near Ujjayanta Palace.
The Law Secretary, Sanjay Bhattacharya addressing a press conference at Civil Secretariat on Monday afternoon urged all to take part in the celebration. Also 75th year of adoption of the Constitution will be observed through year-round programmes.
The Law Secretary said that the Central government has issued guideline to the state government regarding observance of the Constitution Day. All the government departments will submit action plan for programmes to the Law Department by November 30. At the press meet Director of the Information and Cultural Affairs department Bimbisar Bhattacharya discussed about various programmes in connection with the Constitution Day. Director of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Satyabrata Nath presented the detailed plan of Dept. to celebrate Constitution Day.
