After Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister, our country has been on the path of progress.

North Eastern states have also seen good deal of development. Earlier, Union Ministers did not come to the North East region. Apart from Union Ministers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also visited the states of the region many times in the last six years. In the last six years, Tripura has made tremendous progress in various fields. Union Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said this in a press conference at the conference hall of West Tripura District Magistrate's office on September 26, 2023. In the press conference, the Union Minister of State thanked the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and said that about 90 percent of the money allocated under MGNREGA has been spent in Tripura. Various resources have been created. Tripura is now moving towards progress. She also gave a comparative picture of the central allocation of funds for Tripura's development since the establishment of BJP government at the centre in 2014.

In the press conference, the Union Minister of State said that from 2006 to 2013-14, Tripura received

Rs. 4,558 crore under MGNREGA.  8,351 crore rupees has been allocated for Tripura under MGNREGA since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister. From 2006 to 2014, 1 lakh 4 thousand 970 houses were constructed in Tripura under the then Indira Awas Yojana. 2 lakh 94 thousand 911 houses have been constructed in the last 9 years. Not only housing was provided to the poor people but also toilets, cooking gas connection and drinking water connection were provided. She also highlighted allocation for Tripura under Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana.

In the press conference, the Union Minister of State said that many people have become unemployed in our country during Corona pandemic. Prime Minister arranged free ration for them.

MGNREGA has increased the allocation for employment. It has been possible to successfully deal with the corona pandemic due to the able leadership of Prime Minister. She also highlighted the success of Chandrayaan-3 and the recently passed Women Reservation Bill in Parliament.
