CPI (M) gearing up for 24th state conference with political and social activities
Before beginning of two days 24th state conference of opposition CPI(M) on January 29th next, the party organizing different political and social activities across the state and to mark the state conference, Sadar sub divisional committee of CPI(M) on Tuesday organized a mega blood donation camp in Agartala.
Several donors voluntarily donated their blood units, where former Chief Minister and CPI(M) politburo member Manik Sarkar and party’s state secretary and opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhury along with other leaders and workers were present.
While speaking with media persons, Manik Sarkar said that CPI(M) state conference has always been a political and organizational festival for party workers and the party always concentrates to expedite pro-people activities and their best contribution for the society.
“With this thought, the party organized different social and political programmes in different parts of the state and Tuesday organized a big blood donation camp, where more and more people are joining to contribute for the society,” said Sarkar.
He said that blood donation is a greatest part of social contribution and party workers are continuing their endeavour for the society.
Sarkar also said that in terms of present political perspective, the party will strengthen their struggle to ensure rights of people and to protect democracy.
Speaking in the blood donation programme, CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury said that after nine months of assembly elections , the CPI(M) gearing up to observe the 24th state conference of the party in Agartala with mass rally of the party workers, supporters on January 29th in Agartala.
He said that three days state conference will begin on January 29 with a mass rally at Agartala, where party’s to leaders including coordinator of politburo, Prakash Karat, Brinda Karat and Ashok Dwale and Manik Sarkar will address the gathering.
He said that during three state conferences from January 29 to 31st, above 300 delegates from eight districts will participate and party leaders will have elaborate discussion over the next agenda to fight with BJP by strengthening their organization.
He said that so far CPI (M) has completed all branch, local, sub divisional and district committee conferences across the state and the party has formed new committees with induction of more and more youth leaders with veterans.
All left democratic forces will strengthen their movement with an aim to defeat the divisive forces in coming days, said Chaudhury and added that the supporters of the party are preparing their state conference amidst continuous violence and rules of terror, which began immediately after the BJP came to power.
The country is now passing through a big challenge and during the past ten years , the BJP-RSS has strengthened the fascist like policies and imposed a reign of terror across the country and now the people of Tripura have also witnessed their violent politics during the last years, said Chaudhury.
He alleged that ruling BJP has intensified their attacks against humanitarian rights along with continued attacks over the constitutional bodies of the country.
The fight against BJP in Tripura is an instance in the country, said Chaudhury and appealed to the people of the state to strengthen their movements against BJP and its ideology to restore democracy in the state.
He hoped that despite many obstructions, the party will organize a massive gathering at Agartala with vow to strengthen their movements against BJP in Tripura.
