Debate expands free thinking: CM
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Sunday said that debate expands the scope of people’s free thinking, and there is much to learn from the aesthetic presentation of logic and arguments in a debate. Therefore, there is a need for debate during this period.
The Chief Minister said this while inaugurating a debate organised by the Advocate Dilip Sarkar Memorial Foundation at Agartala Town Hall on Sunday.
He said that such debate needs to be held more frequently at the school and college levels.
“As a result, courage, confidence, and speaking skills will increase among students. Through debate , knowledge of history, proper utilisation of opportunities, and evaluation of talent are achieved. There is a lot of talent among students in our state. Such debate meetings are very timely and relevant to utilise their talent,” he said.
