He expressed their deep concern over alleged censorship over social media posts and said if any criticism expressed against the government, dealing in the social media and if it is liked by others or shared it then the so called nationalists attack them.
DYFI leaders in their memorandum alleged that attacks on women and children are increasing day by day along with theft, robbery and looting have c=become a common issue. “When opposition political parties or organizations take up programmes, they have to face attacks from anti-social elements in many places. The police administration should ensure the expression of opinion freely by all people and it is required to take correct, impartial and strict roles in such matters,” said Deb.
He also alleged that people of the state experienced everyday severe street accidents across the state and as a result of which many lives are going away forever. But, unfortunately, traffic personnel are busy with imposing challen instead of controlling the traffic in roads, which led to many accidents, said Deb.
He also urged the DGP to stop illegal infiltration across the border and should strengthen the surveillance of security forces to stop human trafficking.
