DYFI to organize statewide rallies demanding jobs, drug-free state
Demanding jobs for all and drug-free Tripura, the youth organizations of opposition CPI(M), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) will organize statewide movements and rallies.
Addressing a press conference at ‘Chhatra Yuva’ Bhavan in Agartala on Thursday afternoon, DYFI’s state president Palash Bhowmik accompanied it’s all India general secretary Himaghnaraj Bhattacharyya said that on September 15, the DYFI and TYF will jointly organize mass rally and meeting Belonia in support of their demands for jobs and drug-free Tripura.
Similarly, these youth organizations will organize another rally and meeting at Kumarghat on September 23rd and a big procession and meeting at Agartala.
Bhowmik alleged that since the formation of BJP government in Tripura, the unemployment rate is increasing day by day and Tripura has the highest number of unemployed youths. He said that now Tripura has become the safe drug corridor of the country and everyday hundreds youths are becoming addicted and abused by injectable drugs. Bhowmik also said that the numbers of HIV positive patients are also increasing rapidly in the state due to drug abuse and demanded strong initiatives by the state government to protect the future of the state's youth.
During the press meet, Himaghnaraj Bhattacharyya launched QR code payment method for general donation to their organization.
