As per the election schedule, the prestigious elections for Tripura Bar Association (TBA) will be held on March 23, 2024 next.

Giving details of the Bar elections, the incumbent secretary of TBA, Kaushik Indu said that the Bar Association has published the final voter list on February 20th last and as the schedule of the polls, the TBA will issue nomination paper from March 4th to 7th and the members of the Bar can file their nomination papers for the elections to a 15 members executive committee of Tripura Bar Association from March 11th to 13th from 12 PM to 4 PM.

Indu said that scrutiny of the submitted nomination papers will be conducted on March 15th and the candidates can withdraw their nomination papers on March 19th.

The polling will start from 9 AM on March 23rd and will continue up to 1 PM, said Kaushik Indu and added that counting of polled votes will start on the same day of polling from 2 PM onwards.

He said that veteran advocate Sandip Datta Choudhuri has been appointed as Returning Officer (RO) to conduct the election and other election officials will be appointed by the RO as per his choice. The TBA has requested all of its members to participate in the election process.
