Eminent teacher Pabitra Kumar Bhattacharjee passes away, condolences all around
Tripura’s eminent Sanskrit teacher and popular former headmaster of Ranir Bazar Vidyamandir, Pabitra Kumar Bhattacharjee (75) breathed his last in the GBP hospital on Wednesday morning due to his kidney related ailments.
He is survived by his only son Nabendu Bhattacharjee, a journalist, who is now a spokesperson of ruling BJP and editor of the party organ ‘Satya Bhasan’.
A dedicated man Pabitra Kumar Bhattacharjee joined his teaching profession in 1970 at West Bengal’s 24-Pargana Banipur Vidyapith and after completion his Master degree from Kolkata University, Bhattacharjee joined as PG teacher at BKI Bidyapith of Belonia. Later, he had also joined as teachers at Ranir Bazar Vidyamandir and earned popularity for his sincerity and student-friendly nature . Attaining sufficient seniority he had also become the headmaster of the school.
Pabitra Kumar Bhattacharjee had retired from service in the year 2008 and was staying at home. Recently he had not been keeping unwell due to his kidney related ailments and was admitted to GBP hospital and Wednesday morning he breathed his last.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Ratan Chakraborty and many eminent citizens have conveyed their condolences to the family of Pabitra Kumar Bhattacharjee . He was cremated in the Battala crematorium in the afternoon.
