Flag-march starts in Boxanagar, Dhanpur, postal ballot voting from Aug 28
In order to ensure the peaceful and violence free voting, the poll panel has started flag marches and area domination exercises by central forces and Tripura police in the areas of Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly constituencies.
The district administration of Sepahijala in presence of DM Dr Vishal Kumar and SP V J Reddy conducted flag march and area domination exercise to build confidence measures among the general people of both constituencies.
The authorities said that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken all measures to ensure free and fair by-polls in both constituencies with zero-tolerance against any kind of violence related to polls.
While, the postal ballot voting of poll personnel for 20-Boxanagar and 23-Dhanpur assembly constituencies will start from August 28th next at the voting facilitation centre at Sonamura HS Girls School and will continue up to September 1st next from morning 9 AM to 4 PM.
All the poll personnel and security forces engaged in the polling process and the voters of these constituencies will be able to cast their votes through postal ballots, said the Returning Officer (RO) of Sonamura subdivision.
