Four more Bangladeshi, escaped from Khagrachari, 5 Indian from Indo-Bangla border areas detained

Despite tight security along the India-Bangladesh border with joint patrolling by security forces, the infiltration from the unrest hit Bangladesh into Tripura continued and again on Sunday 4 more citizens of the neighbouring country including and five Indian were arrested by the Border Security Forces , when they entered into state’s territory after escaping from trouble torn Khagrachari district in Bangladesh.
After unrest in Bangladesh, the infiltration into the Northeastern states especially in Tripura and Assam has continued and in the last few months hundreds of Bangladesh nationals along with Rohingyas were arrested by security forces from different borders of the state.
During the past two week, dozens of Bangladeshis, Rohingyas and human traffickers (Touts) were arrested from different parts of the state by security forces.
BSF of Tripura Frontier through a press statement said that on Sunday afternoon over specific information regarding Infiltration of four Bangladesh nationals from Dhaniabari, patrolling party apprehended two female and two male, when they crossed the international border from Bangladesh side.
BSF said that on being enquired, two male confirmed himself as Bangladesh nationals and two female as Indian nationals. Daduni Chakma and Nandini Chakama are residents of Nutan Bazar, South Tripura while Bimal Chakma and Sushil Chakma are residents of Khagrachari in Bangladesh and they escaped from their native village in Bangladesh.
In another input based operation in the area of Border Outpost (BOP) Dyke VIII, at about 5.30 PM of Sunday , BSF patrol party observed unusual movement of five persons and apprehended them while crossing the international border. Later two of them were identified as Bangladesh nationals and the rest are Indians. Apprehended persons are Mongkrajai Marma and Brisha Moni chakma both are from khagrachari district in Bangladesh while Punna lal chakma, Twoingnu Mog and Skiro chakma are from Gandacherra area of Dhalai district of Tripura.
Sources said that all Bangladeshi detained near the border escaped from their native village in Khagrachari district of Bangladesh due to atrocities on minority tribals by the majority population of Bangladesh. Later, all detained foreigners and Indians were handed over to local police.
Police sources in Dhalai district said that the has registered a specific case under sections of the Passports Act, the Foreigners Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and all arrested foreigners and Indian would be produced before a local court on Monday for further legal actions.
