Ganja plantations in vast areas destroyed by security forces
Border Security Force, in a joint operation, destroyed approximately 1,27,500 immature Ganja (Cannabis) plants being illegally cultivated in the general area of Gajeria and chelikhola villages under Bishalgarh police station of Sepahijala district. About 34 acres of land has been cleared by destroying the Ganja plants.
On Saturday , in this series of unrelentless special operation, in addition to BSF troops representative from Narcotics Control Bureau, Forest department, TSR, state police and Excise department actively participated.
This season till date more five lakh plants have been destroyed from different parts of the state of Tripura and more than three hundred acres of land has been reclaimed.
BSF’s persistent and concerted efforts in close coordination with sister agencies will have a positive impact on the society. Such type of operations will continue in near future.
