Govt committed to improve lives through co-operatives, Minister
The 69th All India Co-operative Week-2022 celebrated across the state on Monday with the theme of "75th Independence, progress and future action of co-operative" where the Co-operative Minister Prem Kumar Reang inaugurated the main programme held at Agartala Town hall.
Minister Prem Kumar Reang in his inaugural speech said that the state government has been ensuring development in all sectors to generate more employment opportunities for the youths of the state.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Co-operative Minister Amit Shah have taken holistic measures to improve the rural economy of the country through Co-operative movements. He said that the government has taken initiatives to provide employment opportunities to educated youths through co-operative and to strengthen the progress of the nation, people have strengthened the cooperative movements.
The government organises the co-operative week with the aim to create job opportunities.
A co-operative conference of two days was organized at Delhi recently where ministers of the states participated and held discussion on expansion of co-operative movements to generate more jobs for youths.
During the state level programme, MLA Krishnadhan Das in his speech said that the importance of Co-operative Society is huge and it will also help to form "Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura and also Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat".
The Minister also inaugurated the micro-ATM services for Dhanpur branch of the Tripura State Co-Operative Bank and with the launching of UPI payment system. The Minister during the celebration of the day has also launched different kinds of sweets made by the Gomati Co-operative Milk Producers Union.
