GST, Commissionerate, Agartala organizedwWalkathon to mark ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’
Central Goods and Services Tax, Commissionerate, Agartala is observing Vigilance Awareness Week, 2023 from October 30th to November 5th with the theme “Say No to Corruption, Commit to The Nation”.
To mark this vigilance week, a Walkathon was organized among staffs of CGST Agartala today, October 4, 2023. The Commissioner of the CGST Agartala T.V Ravi flagged off the Walkathon with a motivating address emphasizing the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in public life. He urged every individual to contribute towards a corruption-free nation, as this is crucial for the overall development and prosperity of the region.
The event saw enthusiastic participation of officers and staff of CGST Agartala. The Walkathon aimed to spread the resounding message, “Say No to Corruption & Commit to Nation,” commenced from and culminated at GST Bhavan, Agartala via Post Chowmuhani, Bidurkarta Chowmuni, Ujjayanta Palace, Kaman Chowmuhani covering a considerable distance symbolizing the journey towards a corruption-free society.
A press statement issued by the office of CGST Agartala stated that the event served as a platform for building awareness about the detrimental effects of corruption and the importance of staying committed to the nation’s progress. The Walkathon was not just a symbolic gesture but a call to action, urging citizens to report any instances of corruption and uphold the values of honesty and integrity.
