Altogether six police personnel from Tripura have been conferred police medals of different categories President’s medals on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day celebration on Tuesday.

Among the awardees figures from Tripura have been awarded the Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service. These six officers are Krishnendu Chakraborty, DIG crime branch and intelligence, Raju Das of TSR, NB Subedar of Ram Chandra Ghat, Khowai, Paban Debnath , Havildar Santir Bazar , Babul Ghosh head constable Narsingarh, north of Agartala, Sudarshan Das, assistant commandant TSR Jampui Jala, Pintu Das, NB Subedar , TSR Santir Bazar, south Tripura.

Apart from these, Home Guards and Civil Defence medal for meritorious service will be awarded to Home Guard Pandit Sarkar. Al, the awardees will be awarded on the Republic Day, 2024.

During the celebration of the 77th Independence Day programme at Assam Rifles ground on Tuesday  morning, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha  awarded different police personnel with President’s police medal for distinguished service, Police medal for meritorious service and Home Ministry’s medal for Excellence in police training, who were selected on republic Day, 2022 includes Police Medal for Meritorious service has been received TSR 9th battalion Havildar (GD) Samar Murasingh, Home guards and Civil Defence medal for meritorious service received by Home Guard Indrajoy Tripura, 2020-21 Union Home Minister’s Medal for excellence in Police Training has been awarded to CIT’s Assistant Commandant  Biplab Kumar deb, CIT school’s Sub(GD) Bimal Debnath, KTDS PTA’s Sub-Inspector (AB) Bindeshwari das, PTA’s head Constable Amal Shil. AIG (headquarters) and IPS officer Shankar Debnath has been awarded for special contribution in service.
