Krantivir Sangeet programme: Govt want to work with everyone, respecting everyone is our goal, CM
The state government want to work with everyone, respecting everyone is our goal, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in his speech as the chief guest at Krantivir Sangeet programme as part of the concluding programme of '75 Seemanta Gram Kranti Veero Ke Naam' at Rabindra Bhavan on Wednesday evening.
He said, history should not be forgotten. Those who gave their lives for the country were not fond of posts. The country became independent because of their sacrifice. The present government of the country and the state is conducting various programmes to honour these freedom fighters. 75 Seemanta Gram Kranti Veero Ke Naam programme was celebrated as part of this programme. It was not easy to find those who fought for the country. It was possible to honour them because of the path shown by Prime Minister. Emphasizing on moving forward with patriotic thoughts, the Chief Minister said that if the country is not strong, nothing can be done. Everyone should realize this and work together.
He said that those who fought for the motherland, they are being duly honoured under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. One programme after another is being taken up so that the present generation of the country can be well informed about the freedom fighters. Har Ghar Tiranga programme started last year.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the scientist and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the people of the state for the smooth landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon. Chief Minister said, today is a very happy day. New history has been made. We were all looking forward to this day. The Chief Minister congratulated ISRO scientists for this day and said that they have made the nation proud.
Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this, he said that with his inspiration, the matter was completed smoothly. In this context, referring to the Covid period, the Chief Minister said, at that time, the Prime Minister assured the entire country that the scientists of our country will soon discover its antidote. It actually happened.
Speaking at the programme, Vice Chairman of the State Cultural Advisory Committee Subrata Chakraborty praised 75 Seemanta Gram Kranti Veero Ke Naam programme. The Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Dr. Pradeep Chakraborty gave the welcome speech on the occasion. District Magistrate of West District Debapriya Bardhan was present as special guest on the occasion.
Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya was also present on the occasion. Winners of Essay Competition were awarded in the programme. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha handed over the award to them. Prathyasha artistes of the state presented an interesting cultural programme on the occasion.
