Mukhyamantri Samipeshu: CM directs necessary action for Papri Saha, many others’
Like other days on Wednesday also the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha listened to the woes of people coming from different parts of the state at his official residence during “Mukhyamatrni Samipeshi” programme.
He assured all coming for the programme of his support. Apart from giving solutions to medical issues, the chief minister also made arrangements for the solution of land and other issues. Today resident of Kadamtali, Krishnanagar, Papri Saha came to seek assistance for her son’s treatment. Since birth, her son has been inflicted with Prader-Willi syndrome. This gene-driven syndrome has caused obesity and affected the intellectual growth of her son. Her son has been under treatment at AIIMS, New Delhi since 2019. Now she needs Rs. 9 lakh for his hormone therapy. Learning about Papri Saha’s issue the chief minister talked to the secretary of social welfare and social education department Tapas Roy to explore any avenues of help to her and assured her of necessary assistance.
Suman Podder of Pratapgarh has been suffering from kidney disease since last two years and this has caused him virtually jobless. Consequently he is not in a position to avail treatment. Going through the documents of Suman Podder the chief minister directed the secretary of health department Dr. Debasis Basu to take necessary action in this regard. Liton Deb from Durgabari under Airport police station came to see the chief minister with a different problem. His father was kidnapped by the militants on October 27, 1992. Afterwards, despite a prolonged search made by the police for his father there was no trace of him.
Resultantly police issued a death certificate in 2009 but the family did not get any assistance from the government. After examining the related documents of Liton Deb, the chief minister directed his secretary Dr. PK Chakrborty to take necessary action on this. Alpana Bhattacharya, wife of Dulal Chakraborty from Ramnagar has been suffering from cancer. At present she is undergoing treatment at Tata Cancer Hospital. In this context he came to seek financial assistance. On this, the chief minister directed the medical superintendent of Atal Behari Bajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital to take necessary measures. At the same time the chief minister urged Dulal Chakraborty to keep faith in the doctors and health service system of the state.
Abir Das from Kunjaban was injured in an accident caused by a Scorpio vehicle resulting in fracture of his hand. After the accident the victim lodged a complaint with the Airport police station against the driver. But till date he did not get justice. Hearing this, the chief minister spoke to the respective police officers right away and directed them to look into the matter. The chief minister also listened to the woes of other attendees. In today’s Mukhyamantri Samipeshu secretary to the chief minister Dr. PK Chakraborty, health secretary Dr. Debasis Basu, secretary of social welfare and social education Tapas Roy, medical superintendent of GB Hospital Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, medical superintendent of Cancer Hospital Dr. S. Debbarma was present.
