Additional Director General (ADG) of the North Eastern Region (NER) of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Major General Anurag Vij, visited Tripura on Sunday and explored the state's rich cultural and historical heritage during a tour of the Tripura State Museum housed in the historic Ujjayanta Palace.

During the visit, Maj Gen Vij was accompanied by the Group Commander of Silchar Group, the Commanding Officer of 15 Tripura Battalion NCC, and the Commanding Officer of 71 Company NCC, making the occasion significant for the NCC fraternity in the region.

The delegation toured various sections of the museum and gained insights into Tripura's royal history, archaeological treasures, traditional tribal artefacts, and vibrant cultural legacy.

Later in the evening, the visiting dignitaries attended the renowned Light and Sound Show at Ujjayanta Palace. The presentation, featuring synchronised lighting, sound effects, and narration, vividly depicted Tripura's glorious past, royal traditions, and rich cultural heritage.

The immersive experience was highly appreciated by the delegation, who praised the efforts to preserve and showcase the state's unique history and traditions.

The visit reflected the NCC leadership's appreciation for Tripura's cultural heritage and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting national integration, cultural awareness, and the preservation of India's diverse traditions.

The interaction also strengthened ties between the NCC and the people of Tripura while highlighting the importance of understanding and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the North Eastern region.
