Police sources said that on Saturday they have arrested two persons and have also seized a new motorbike. A couple months ago, one Prasanta Das had purchased a Bajaj Pulsar motorbike through finance and after a few days, he sold out this bike to Sagar Das with verbal commitment for regular monthly payment of installment of the Finance company.
But, the second owner of the bike again sold it to another Sagar Miah of Sonamura on April 23rd last.
After a few days, the third owner of the bike, Sagar Das registered a stolen complaint at RK Pur police station and during investigation of the police on Friday managed to recover the stolen bike (TR03-M-7982) from Kalamchowra area of Sonamura subdivision.
Police sources said that the motorbike was intentionally hidden by Sagar Das and it was not stolen and both Sagar Das and Sagar Miah to evade the monthly installment of the Finance company had registered a false case of stolen incident.
The OC of Radha Kishore Pur police station, Babul Das said that during investigation, they got concrete evidence against this racket and how they purchase new motorbikes through finance and registration of false stolen cases to evade installment.
