Present government respects the sentiments of Janajati people: Tripura CM
Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha said on Sunday that the main aim of the state and central government is to provide all government benefits to the people and emphasized that there should not be any politics in distributing government schemes.
Dr Saha said this after inaugurating the 750-seated Raima Saima Kalakshetra at Gonda Twisa in the aspirational district of Dhalai.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated three other projects, including the new building of Ratanmani Para High School, the 100-seated Durbajay Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Girls' Hostel & Cultural Hall of Ananda Roaja Memorial English Medium HS School, and laid the foundation of the Gonda Twisa Motor Stand in Dhalai District.
“The projects reflect Modi's Guarantee, which will fulfill the aspirations of the people in terms of education and cultural practice. Our present government respects the sentiments of Janajati people in this state. Today we inaugurated the statue of Maharaja Bir Bikram at MBB airport, and we have changed the name of Gandacherra to Gonda Twisa. The past government never gave respect to the Manikya dynasty, which worked for the development of Tripura, but after 2018 when BJP came, we have given due respect to them. PM Modi always said that we should not forget our culture, heritage, and history. PM Modi means development and gives guarantees,” said Dr Saha.
He mentioned that the guarantee van has also reached here to provide the beneficiary schemes to the people.
“Our main job is to provide all the benefits of state and central government to the people. We should not engage in politics in distributing government schemes to people. Earlier, we had seen a government of scams, but after 2014, not a single scam took place in the country and in our state too. BJP and IPFT worked together, and now Tipra Motha has also joined. We, tribal and non-tribal, are living and working together to make this state Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura. We believe in Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and Sabka Prayaas,” he said.
Dr Saha mentioned that the state government is working on the development of roads connecting the tourist spots and is also considering the development of the small island in Dumboor lake.
“Not only this, but our government is also working for the empowerment of women and has kept 33% reservation in government jobs. If we stress the development of women, then society, country, and state will develop,” he added.
