President Murmu to visit Tripura for two days from Oct 13
The President Droupadi Murmu will visit Tripura for two days from October 13 and will inaugurate a number of developmental projects in the state.
Official sources said that during the visit the President will inaugurate the Tripura Judicial Academy at Narsingarh and will also participate in the 75th anniversary celebration of MBB College. On October 14 next, she will visit Tripura Sundari temple in Udaipur to offer prayers.
Sources added that the DGP Amitabh Ranjan held a high-level meeting on security arrangements for the President's proposed visit and top administrative officials had also attended a preparatory meeting for the President's visit and to finalize the receiving details of the tour programme as per the protocol.
After being elected as President, this will be her first visit to Tripura as President and Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) will give her civic reception at Agartala Town Hall in presence of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha along with his cabinet colleagues.
