Rape accused son gets life term

In a shameful incident and a burning instance of moral turpitude, a accused son get life imprisonment by a session court of Bishalgarh under Sepahijala district for raping his mother, who gave his birth.

This shameful incident took place on May 2nd, 2022 last and the victim woman on May 5th, 2022 lodged her complaint at Takharjala police station of Sepahijala district.

Giving details of the case, government advocate Goutam Giri said that after the victim women filed FIR, the Takharjala police station registering the FIR , arrested accused son Ajoy Debbarma. After his arrest, the trial of the case continued in the court of additional session court of Bishalgarh under custodial trial and the court recorded the statements of 20 witnesses including the victim woman.

On Friday afternoon, the court after a long hearing gave its final judgement and pronounced life imprisonment to accused Ajoy Debbarma under section 376(2) (F) of IPC and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000.
