Second Zonal Youth Festival inaugurated at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya campus
The three-day long Zonal Youth festival inaugurated on Wednesday at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus at Lembucherra, Tripura within the auspicious presence of Prof. Sukanta Kumar Senapati, Vice-chancellor of Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, Gujarat as Chief Guest.
Prof. Senapati in his address opined that proper culmination of mind and body is essential for holistic development of human personality. From the time immemorial Indian knowledge system emphasises on the necessity of healthy body and mind for physical and spiritual growth. Bharatiya tradition of yoga is a milestone in this regard. He further added that various forms of sports and games are still being promoted by all the governments and educational institutions throughout the world for its immense role in making a healthier future generation.
Among other dignitaries Prof. S.K. Patra, Director of NIT, Agartala as Guest of honour, appreciated the initiative of Central Sanskrit University in promoting sports, games and yoga through Youth festival. Besides, Prof. Madhukeshwar Bhat, Director (Programme) of CSU, New Delhi and Dr. Haradhan Saha, Principal of Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalay, Mohanpur, remained present as Guests of honour. The inaugural event was presided over by Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of CSU, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala.
A total number of 8 institutes such as Radhamadhav Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, Manipur, Rajkumaari Ganesh Sharma Sanskrit Vidyapeetham Bihar, Sri Swami Parankushachariya Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, Bihar, Dr. Ramji Meheta Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay Bihar, Kaliachakbikramkishore Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, West Bengal, Sriramsundar Sanskrit Vishwavidyapratisthanam Bihar, Srisitaram Vedic Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, West Bengal, Central Sanskrit University, Sadashiv Campus, Puri and Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala participated from various states.
