Special guests from various walks of life invited to attend Independence Day celebrations in New Delhi, three persons from Tripura
Two beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, hailing from Tripura will witness the Independence Day celebrations at the historic Red Fort, Delhi on August 15, 2023 as Special Guests. Fifty (50) beneficiaries of the scheme, along with their families, are among around 1,700 persons who have been invited to listen to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address to the nation from ramparts of the iconic monument. The initiative to invite the people from all walks of life, across India, and be a part of the celebrations has been taken by the Government in line with its vision of ‘Jan Bhagidari’.
Speaking on being invited as a special guest to the Independence Day celebration in Delhi, Nantu Sutradhar who hails from East Narayanpur under Mohanpur block in West Tripura district appreciated the scheme saying that his family eke out their living on agriculture. Presently, the Government has been providing financial support to him making his agricultural activities easier and income assured. He also said that being invited by the central government to attend the Independence celebrations in New Delhi is a great honour for him. He said “ I thank the Government and the Prime Minister Modiji”.
Another beneficiary of PM-Kisan, Ranabir Debbarma hailing from Thalbaripara, Chhoto Surma under Dhalai district lauded the Government’s initiative and stated that he has received an invitation from the central government to be a special guest in the Independence Day celebration and program of Flag hoisting by the Prime Minister at Red Fort, New Delhi. He said he is delighted to get the invitation and is ready to participate in the celebration in New Delhi. For this, he conveyed thanks to Prime Minster Modi.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), a Central Sector Scheme, aims at providing financial assistance to all cultivable landholding farmer families across the country, subject to certain exclusion criteria. Under the Scheme, an amount of Rs 6,000/- is transferred annually in three equal installments of Rs 2,000/- directly into the Aadhaar Seeded bank accounts of the farmers.
Also, one beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM Vikas), hailing from Tripura, will witness the Independence Day celebrations at the historic Red Fort, Delhi on August 15, 2023 as Special Guest.
Speaking on this, the beneficiary Smt Shipra Das Nama who hails from Nalchar in Sonamura under Sepahijala district appreciated the PM Vikas scheme saying that she and her family are handicraft artisans. Craftworks on bamboo and cane are their main sustenance of living. She lauded the Government’s initiative of PM Vikas. She also thanks the central government for inviting her and her husband as special guests to the Independence Day celebration at Red Fort on 15th August. Notably, the PM Vikas was launched with the aim to impart skill development and entrepreneurship, and leadership training to prospective youth of the country.
